Hope For Colorado

Dear friends,
I like to start my third art journal today with a hopeful note. A prayer for all that was affected by the Denver Theater 16 horror. Colorado has a special place in my heart. I lived in Golden for nearly 3 years and one of the best times in my life. I still remembered THAT morning in 1999, we were just coming out from lecture looking for a quick bite at the student center.  On the big screen there was a live news report of the Columbine High school shooting. We were all shaken, being so close to Columbine!.

Then another horror happened, this time in Denver! My heart breaks. I have to make these pages right away.

These prayers are also for those who affected by the recent wild fire in Colorado Springs. Be healed, beautiful state. If you have 30 seconds to spare, do send your love and prayers for them too. Thank you :).

Hugs & Love,
Shahrul

  3. Creating this journal directly after really does capture the intense emotions that spread throughout the world that day and leaves such wonderful space for future growth and strength and healing. I love that you've created this for, as you put it so perfectly, Colorado, that beautiful state. Prayers are definitely going out to them.

  5. This is so wonderful to see, all the love and prayers will surely be needed. I couldn't believe it when I found out, so heartbroken. Such a pretty page you made, love this and the thought behind it. We had a tragedy like this at a nearby school earlier this year and it just broke my heart. Wish for more peace and love in this world.
I did some posting tonight on my Project Life and a post on our mini vacation. Have been creating some fun stuff during my blog post, can't wait to share it soon.
Take care my new, kind friend, will send those prayers and hugs to the families.

  6. Hi Shahrul! Such a horrible tragedy. I was studying back then when there was a bombing in town and we had to walk back all the way from Uni to our house. Everybody was devastated. My prayers to all the affected families in Colorado and anywhere with such horrible tragedies all over the world.
