inspiration : oriental

Sweet ones,
My fellow Malaysian Chinese friends are celebrating the Lunar New Year soon. The town is already painted in red, what with all the lanterns, vibrant peonies and pretty umbrellas!. My heart is blooming with all these cheerful colors. But, my cats won't be too happy with the loud firecrackers :). With this, have some prettiness today. Hugs.

  1. Wow! That is too cool! I wish we lived in a city that was more diverse but I don't. That will be so interesting to see more pictures of The Chinese New Year.

    1. I hope one day, you'd be able to come visit Kuala Lumpur. It is fun to learn different cultures, especially during festive seasons and you just can't put down the camera :). Hugs.

  3. I loved seeing all these pretty images, too hard to pick a favorite. How nice to see happy colors thru the town, I love that. My dog feels the same way about loud sounds, poor animals they don't get what celebrating means. Good luck with your cats.

    1. Hi, Linda!. I hope I'd be able to go out to town, see a Lion Dance or two and get some photos to share. Oh, those delicate see-through tops are called the Kebayas, woman wear them with pretty camisoles, and batik sarongs as evening wear. If you look up on Straits Chinese Kebayas, you'll read about them. I have one, but I wear it with a pair of jeans instead :).
