1st DT Layout for Scrappingville

I LOVE Graphic 45 pattern papers!. The papers have bold, flamboyant, vintage designs and I especially love their rich earthy colors. Yup, all of them. One time, I saw this challenge blog that gave away Graphic 45 papers and I was drooling! LOL.

My wish came true recently. I was given loads of Graphic 45 pattern papers for my first Scrappingville DT projects!. I've got 'Playtime Past' and 'Domestic Goddess' to play with. I have two projects; a LO and a mini book. I'm going to share just the completed layout for now (I'm still working on the mini book).

Here are the raw materials used for the layout;

And here is the finished page;
I used an old picture of me (when I was 6) to go with the
'Playtime Past' theme.

I scrapped about me, trying so hard NOT to smile. (I still can't remember why). Wooden alphabets & flowers to give a vintage feel for this LO. I created a little pocket on the roof of this playhouse to hide little tags with notes. Love them tags!. Added bunting to give a child-like playfulness to the LO.

Why didn't I smile?.
Maybe I didn't like the photographer ?!?. Just maybe.

Materials used in this LO:
* Pattern papers: Graphic 45 'Playtime Past'
* Wooden Alphas: Pink Paisley Expressions Woodshop
* Stamps: Margaret Stamp Set, Paper Artsy Minis
* Cardstock: Coredinations
* Red pompoms ribbons, black lace & twines
* Small paper doilies
* DYMO Omega label maker for making notes on tags

I do hope you are all inspired to play more with Graphic 45 bold papers. It was such an adventure for me!

XO,
Shahrul

    1. Thnx. It's fun to use Graphic 45 papers, kan? Especially if we're making mini albums.
