'Globe Trotter' Diary

Hello,
I've got too many postcards, ticket tubs, odd labels [beside of thousands un-scrapped photos] from my past travels tucked in rows of shoe boxes!. Guilty. Way behind scrapping these!!.

Recently, I rummaged through these treasures and picked some to use in my latest mini album for Scrappingville, which I dearly called 'Globe Trotter' Diary.

the front.

the back.

It is a minimalist earthy-colored travel diary. I used pattern papers, corrugated papers and various sizes of envelopes to make the pages. Pages are neatly bound with Zutter 1" coil. Lastly, added some ethnic beads, ribbons and jute-twines to embellish the otherwise plain black chipboard covers.

It has plenty of pockets and folders to keep more little treasures :). My advice, never throw away those pretty labels from your shopping. They make perfect closures!.

I was nicely surprised to find that I kept a funky label from a bottled drink!. Ha!. Makes me smile.

And yes, pocket for coins is a must-have in any travel diaries.

I casually jotted down notes with black/maroon sharpies and white gel pens. After all, this mini album is more like a journal than anything :). Think I'll make more of these before my next travel, something to keep me busy while on transit :).

This would be one of my October's class @ Scrappingville. Please check our website to see timing & details.
Hugs.

Supplies : Everyday Eclectic by Allison Kreft Sticker, EP Journaling cards, pattern papers from EP (Cameras) and Glitz Designs (Happy Travels Planes, Happy Travels World), Maya Road heart chipboard, Tim Holtz Collection-Stampers Anonymous stamps, ribbons & twines from stash.

  4. WOW, you have outdone yourself again. I love the cover and the title for this journal. Those ribbons are so pretty too. Lots of goodies tucked inside, you have the coolest things saved. I save lables/tags of things too, never know when you can use them. GREAT JOB ON THIS!!! If I ever get to travel I would love to make a journal like this, thanks for the inspiration.
