Sweet friends,
I had made some botanical sketches for this week. Things that I saw and found during my walk at the Botanical Lake Garden. If you are new to my blog, earlier this month I had started a little challenge inspired by my blog friend, Dawn. You can read about it here and here.
Sharing here a week's worth of sketches;
This is wonderful! I have a Botanical Sketchbook on my To-Do list in life...! Hopefully soon! I LOVE yours!
ReplyDeleteYAY!!. I'm always inspired by Alisa Burke's nature exploration and how she had used many of her finds in her sketchbook. So I thought I should at least try this too :). Thanks so much for considering it :). Hugs.
DeleteBeautiful! Love the idea of capturing the original next to your interpretation.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Marjie :). I'm thinking, if they mold (it rains here everyday now), I may have to discard the specimen very soon!! LOL.
DeleteSo, well...these are wonderful and my favorite is the rosewood seed, or so I thought...then I saw the feather....incredible detail!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lisa!. I used some artistic interpretation on the feather, it was almost pitch black! LOL.
DeleteThese are so pretty. And so inspiring my friend.
ReplyDeleteHugs~
Thanks so much, Linda!. You too, inspired me in bounds & leaps. I LOVE LOVE your photography, especially the visiting birds, I would love to paint them if you would allow me the honor :).
DeleteSo HAPPY to see these sketches again, LOVE THEM!! I think the feather is my favorite but they are all so inspiring. Such a neat thing to include the actuall item your drawing with these. I laughed at the grass one, only you could make grass look so pretty.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for doing this with me and sharing your beautiful art with us. I will update my faces soon too, still loving them. Thanks for the comment on my thankful project post. It is very dear to me.
Hope your having a good day. HUGS!!!
Thanks, Dawn!. Yeah, the grass was a last minute thing from the park :). You know, I had become slighty bold and sketch out there on site, with only a black pen. And people passing along, so scary but it made me learn how to be a brave artist. THANKS to you for having me join your challenge, it opens so many opportunities for growth. Hugs.
DeleteYour sketching is so beautiful Shahrul. The delicate lines and flow especially in your feather and grass sketches is supurb!! How I wish I could sit beside you and just watch.
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda, it would be really fun if you would come along in these outings! Just this weekend I started another adventure ... to urban sketch with black pen (out on site, with strangers passing along). My first was really scary, I didn't get the lines straight at all. Squiggly lines !!. LOL. Once I overcame the embarrassment, I could just sit anywhere & sketch :). I'll share them soon.
DeleteI love the neat colours! Well done lady!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!. Sketching and drawing bring me great JOY of late :).
Deletethey are so lovely Shahrul! you are so good at paintings!! I can see you take care of the all the details...
ReplyDeletethanks, Nida!. I'm an addict now, totally. My bf is beginning to accept that I sketch while we're going out having coffee or lunch, LOL. He's very supportive of my craziness :).
