Another fun thing to do with old books

Sweet friends,
How was your week?. Mine is great so far, a friend from Singapore  visiting [Hugs to you, Yvonne :)] and we had a little city tour and an afternoon of mixed media play!.

The week before was super mundane, super low with inspiration to create, LOL. The only thing I did was sketching in an old book I got from the flea market. You know, I LOVE this so much!. I've been altering old books forever, and doing this for a change is refreshing :). Come take a peek;

I don't read Shakespeare but it's a gorgeous little book. It was owned by a 15-year-old boy from 1954!. And best of all, the pages are still great to paint on with watercolor :).

I drew a few of Alice In Wonderland subjects;

And birdies;

I think it's great to turn them into collage and later frame them :). We'll just see what transpires from this. So, enjoy the rest the week & lots of HUGS.

Oh, and this is Arthur. My boy looks mean these days, LOL.

  4. Oh I really like this idea and your sketches! These are all beautiful, tried to pick a favorite but way to hard. I love love the way you draw and create, always makes me happy being here.

    How did you get your pages to lay so flat and not have the paint run to the next pages?

    Keep doing more and sharing these, LOVE THEM!!

    1. Hey dearest!. I make sure that I paint little portion at a time and dry that part, repeat this as I go along so that no leaks :). Oh, they buckle for a minute but when I leave the book closed, they'd be flat in no time. Yes, I'm loving this and will keep you posted :). HUGS.
