a peek inside my sketchbook

Hello friends,
Happy Holidays!. We had been blessed with great sunny mornings this past week. So happy to see the brightest blue sky, almost crystalline despite some patches of storm clouds in the afternoon. I had fun filling up more pages of new sketches too.
Here's a peek inside my 'Life Art Journal'. [And ramblings in between pages too].

What I believe about life & what I believe in.

Skills I want to acquire & things I want to learn.

Material things I enjoy.

Is it a white Christmas for you this year?. That must be fun :). Have a happy week with friends & family. HUGS.

  3. Hello Shahrul, LOVED LOVED seeing all these wonderful pages!! You are such a good artist/drawer, each of these are so special and made with love from YOU!! The first one is my favorite but so is the bike, the bunny, THE TREE and all the journaling about yourself. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and art with us, makes me so happy and inspired!!
Is this journal seperate from your painted art pages? Do you keep more then one journal going at a time?
We had a wonderful Christmas and only a tracing of new white snow on Christmas eve, made it all pretty outside. So glad you got some sunny days to go outside in. Happy Wednesday to you!

    1. Hi, Dawn!!. I'm so happy that you enjoyed these pages. I think I poured my heart in this journal, so ME :). I feel good putting down my thoughts in here. I hope in a long run it'll bring comfort to people :).

This is a new journal that I'm working on for Scrappingville's classes next year. I draw lots just to that my students have a head start, inspire them to start journaling :).

I'm keeping only two journals going at the same time, one for watercolors & doodles, another for some heavy stuff, mixed media & mediums.

Happy Holidays to you, hope you'll get more snow to play with!. Hugs.

  4. Dear Shahrul, I become more and more impressed with your beautiful sketchings and loving thoughts. I so adore the first one of that sweet image who looks so at peace. We had a bit of snow Christmas eve-which I admit was pretty and it melted by Christmas Day. But I much prefer a warm climate!

    1. Oh yeah, tried to write as much as possible in between the journal pages. And to draw as much as possible too. Can't tell you how much happier I am now, when I draw with watercolor every day :). Thanks so much, Marjie!. Happy New Year to you! Hugs.
